Policies

These policies and procedures are in place to protect not only ourselves, but our country. We feel that prudence demands we hold our clients and ourselves to a higher standard and if it is found that a client does not meet or exceed any of our policies or procedures we will gladly refund their course fee minus a transaction fee and recommend an other training organization. In these troubled times we feel it is better to err on the side of caution. Your understanding and support is greatly appreciated in this manner. Trident Concepts, LLC reserves the right to change, update or alter our policies at any time and without having to notify individuals or groups.

Attendance Policy

Trident Concepts, LLC reserves the right to refuse business or services to any individuals or organizations without providing an explanation. Final approval for attendance is at the sole discretion of the Tri-Con staff and shall not be challenged.

Student Credentials

IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to recent events, we will be requiring more stringent student credentials to participate in any training course we provide. Failure to complete the application will result in an application being returned and non-enrollment. It is the responsibility of the enrollee to ensure we have all the appropriate material to verify the credentials. Failure to do so could result in denied enrollment or delayed enrollment. Training courses are limited to United States citizens who meet the appropriate criteria.

  • Provide any valid state Concealed Weapon Permit (C.C.W.) [issuing state must require both state and federal background check for approval].
  • Any active duty member of the United States Army, Air Force, Marine Corp, Navy, Coast Guard, Merchant Marines, National Guard or Reserves.
  • Any active POST certified Police Officer, or Federal Law Enforcement Officer, or any honorably retired, after ten years service, state or federal police officer.

Payment, Refund and Cancellation Policies

Trident Concepts, LLC reserves the right to change or alter our course fees or payment policies at any time and without notifying clients. These policies are strictly followed to ensure the highest quality of training. We will train regardless of global tensions or under any weather conditions and therefore will not issue a refund on account of circumstances outside of our control.

  1. The full course fee must be received in advance to participate in any training course, no exceptions. Those paying with a purchase order, please contact our administrative office for further instructions.
  2. A non-refundable deposit of $150 is required at the time of registration for all students.
  3. No positions will be guaranteed without full payment.
  4. Remaining slots will be made available to those who wish to participate 30 days from the convening date.
  5. Failing to participate could result in the forfeiture of course fees. See below for details.
    • A full refund of the course fees minus a $50.00 transaction fee per student is issued if notice and arrangements are made fifteen (15) business days before course convening date.
    • Fifty percent (50%) of course fees minus a $50.00 transaction fee per student if notice and arrangements are made less than fifteen (15) business days before course convening date.
    • Zero percent (0%) of course fees if notice is made less than five (5) business days before course convening date.
  6. Registered students wishing to withdrawal from courses must submit an official email message to our Administration Office at admin@tridentconcepts.com stating their intentions with the specifics of the course in question. Speaking with Trident Concepts personal by phone does not qualify as an official notice. We must receive this email from the same email address you used to register with or we will not honor the request. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of course fees.
  7. Training course billets are limited to a first come first serve basis. Once our class maximums have been reached no further students will be admitted. Students may submit an application that will be kept on a standby list in case of an opening or other contengencies. Stand by students will be giving 24 hours to pay course fees in order to stay registered or forfeit their position to the next name on the standby list.
  8. In the event Trident Concepts, LLC has to postpone or cancel a course due to circumstances beyond our control, a new course date will be provided in a timely manner (usually 10 business days). We reserve the right to postpone or cancel classes at our discretion. If the student cannot attend the new course dates, then a credit voucher will be issued equal to the course fee good for one year from the new course convening date. If the student wishes to cancel then a full refund minus a $50.00 transaction fee shall be issued.

Note

Please be advised that we put a lot of work into logistics for classes such as range fees, facility reservations, extra instructors and role players. Their time, use and efforts must be compensated no matter the circumstances.

For those who arrive late due to logistical complications or arrive late, we will do as much as we can with the available time to catch you up with the class. It is possible to spend time after class with the instructor as long as it does not interfere with range agreements, logistics plans or lighting conditions.

Range Fees

Effective January 1, 2003 and due to the increase in range fees across the country we will now be forced to make it the responsibility of the student to pay for the range fees. We are forced to do this in order to keep our course cost the same for 2003. The alternative would be to raise our course fees to compensate for higher range fees, which seems unfair since some ranges charge less than others and we don't want everyone to be affected.

We will coordinate for each location the appropriate range fee and payment arrangements, but in general the range fee will not be more than $50.00 per student for a two day course (other course subject to higher or lower fees). We apologize for the inconvenience, but feel it is the best option for all parties.

Logistics Advisory

Please be aware that airline logistics and other modes of mass transportation are becoming very time consuming and difficult, so please plan accordingly. We are not responsible for logistics mishaps, such as but not limited to missed flights, inclement weather, mechanical problems or late departures. You have our sympathy, but regrettably we cannot do anything with regards to refunds.

We can only issue a training certificate good for one year from the original course date. The certificate is 50% of the course tuition and is not transferable to anyone other than the listed party. This certificate is good for any other course of equal or lesser level we provide and at any other location.

Last Minute Registrations

Those students who are not registered, but pay on the first day of class will not receive a course certificate. They may send a large self-addressed stamped envelope to the business address listed below and receive a certificate in the mail after the course.
